Hi Brazilian Queen fans!!!!!
This is Brian here - you will probably recognise my exclamatory style!!!
As I sit here on a damp and dark English winter night - it's almost impossible to imagine that the warm sunlit Brazil I remeber so fondly still exists! But I hear such wonderful words from Brazilian Queen fans in the mail I can never forget!!! We had such a great time touring in those heady days around the Brazilian countryside it gives me a warm feeling just to remeber it. For some reason one of my fondest memories is seeing Passion Fruits, an expensive rarity in England, falling all over the roads when we drove down the coast. And the wonderful Caipirinha drinks made us feel sexy!!!
Of course the true highlights were the gigs - more energetic and riotous than we could have expected - and a whole period of Queen history was written. It was you (and your neighbours the Argentinians) who made "Love of My Life" an international hit - and you amazed us by being able to sing every word in perfect English! It was you who welcomed me back years later as a solo artist trying to painfully spread his wings, following the loss of Freddie. And of course the memories of the first Rock in Rio will stay with us forever.
Right now I am hoping that our new Theatrical Show - We Will Rock You, now a huge hit in our home town of London, will reach Brazil one day. I know some of you have already visited London to see it!!!
Meanwhile thankyou for your continued support - have a great convention - and hopefully we wil meet again soon.

Aqui é o Brian!!! - provavelmente vocês vão
me reconhecer pelo meu estilo exclamatório!!!
Sentado aqui, numa noite escura e úmida de inverno inglês,
é quase impossível imaginar que o calor ensolarado
do Brasil, que eu me lembro tão afetuosamente, ainda existe!
Mas eu ouço tantas palavras maravilhosas dos fãs
brasileiros do Queen que eu não posso esquecer nunca mais!!!
Nos divertimos tanto em nosso tour pelo Brasil que um sentimento
caloroso me invade só de lembrar. Por algum motivo, uma
das minhas lembranças mais agradáveis foi ver o
maracujá, uma raridade muito cara na Inglaterra, caindo
pelas estradas quando descemos a costa de carro. E a maravilhosa
caipirinha nos fez sentir sexy!!!
Com certeza o ponto culminante foi o público, mais enérgetico
e tulmutuoso que poderíamos esperar - e um período
todo da história do Queen foi escrita. Foram vocês
(e seus vizinhos argentinos) que fizera de "Love Of My Life"
um sucesso internacional - e vocês nos surpreenderam ao
cantar cada palavras num Inglês perfeito. Foram vocês
que me deram as boas vindas anos depois, como artista solo tentando
dolorosamente abrir suas asas, após a perda de Freddie.
E com certeza as lembranças do primeiro Rock In Rio estarão
conosco para sempre.
Neste momento espero que nosso novo show teatral - We Will Rock
You, agora um enorme sucesso em nossa cidade natal Londers, chegue
ao Brasil um dia. Sei que alguns de vocês já visitaram
Londers para vê-lo.
Por hora agradeço a vocês pelo apoio contínuo
- tenham um grande evento - e espero que nos encontremos outra
vez brevemente.
